Ms. Blowe has spent 30+ years in education as a classroom teacher, consultant, building and central office administrator, and university professor. As a classroom teacher, she taught gifted and talented, twice exceptional, general education enrichment, and alternative education students, K-12. Ms. Blowe taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Rutgers, William Paterson, and Montclair State Universities. She served as the Director of the Montclair State University-based Gifted & Talented Youth Program. Paulette designs and facilitates professional learning workshops for teachers, parents, and administrators in public, public charter, home and private schools. Ms. Blowe perseveres in her education of and advocacy for underrepresented and yet-to-be identified gifted and talented and twice exceptional students.

 

Melanie V. Speller is a 31-year veteran teacher who has taught diverse groups of children ranging from infants to college students. Ms. Speller has held teaching positions in VA, MD, and NJ. Her areas of expertise include early childhood/elementary (general and special education student populations) and middle school science. She was the Gifted & Talented Program Coordinator (Norfolk, VA) and Founder/Coordinator of the Highland Springs Elementary / Highland Springs High School Senior Tutors Program (Henrico, VA). Ms. Speller has been an adjunct professor and Student Teaching Practicum Field Supervisor at William Paterson University (Wayne, NJ). She has also served as a Subject Matter Expert in the Montclair State University Gifted & Talented Summer 2015 Academy. She is the proud mother of two gifted children. Ms. Speller holds a Master's degree in Gifted Education with Exceptionalities and a B.S. in Early Childhood Education both from Norfolk State University.
